New to Shooting?

If you are interested in learning to shoot whether you have experience with an airgun or if you've never held a gun before we can teach you. As a Home Office Approved Club we can supply you with club guns and ammunition to use on the premises during the twice weekly club sessions.

Step 1
Contact the Club Secretary (Mr John Fearnley) on 07851 949576 or email
info@steadhallrpc.co.uk and provide a contact telephone number.

Step 2
As a prospective member we can then arrange for you to attend a club session as a non-shooting visitor on a Monday Evening (6pm-9.30pm) or Wednesday Evening (6pm-9.30pm). You will receive a probationary membership application form which should be completed and returned with 4 passport-sized photographs.

Step 3
Probationary members will be given a course of tuition covering firearms handling and range safety as well as some coaching. The period of probation shall not be less than six months and not more than twelve months. During this period the probationary member must have shot not less than 24 x 1/2 hour details.
Please note that the Club is required by law to notify the Police of any application for membership whether successful or not.

Step 4
On completion of the Probationary period, depth of interest, apparent character and conduct shall be reviewed and if satisfactory, Full Membership will be confirmed and we will assist you with applying for your firearms certificate.
